Rumor has it Nintendo will finally reveal Metroid Prime Trilogy for Switch, and possibly, we can't stress that enough, announce Super Mario Maker 2 is in the works. Just don't get up your hopes for any Metroid news.
We can speculate that we might see some of the phantom thief in action ahead of the DLC's release later this year.
The broadcast is estimated to run for approximately 35 minutes, suggesting there will a ton of news and announcements coming out of it.
Whether this is the long-awaited reveal of the new mainline sequel for the Switch is unclear but it's interesting that the rumours make no mention of Animal Crossing or Luigi's Mansion 3, which may mean they're coming out later in the year. It also specifically pointed out Fire Emblem: Three Houses, which has a 2019 release window. We got a glimpse as new features lifted from other titles that were not included in the original such as the bell power-up in Super Mario 3D World. As in how long we don't have to wait to play it.
One game we can safely assume won't be featured during today's presentation, however, is Metroid Prime 4.
