She called Kangana an "A++ actress" in a new interview.

MUMBAI: Indian charming actress Alia Bhatt has responded to outspoken Kangana Ranaut's allegations that she is a "puppet" of filmmaker Karan Johar, and doesn't have a spine to give her own statements. She is brilliant. I applaud her courage and performances.

Kangana Ranaut, who is now basking in the success of her latest release 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi', recently called out the Hindi film industry for failing to acknowledge her work. She told the website, "I reached out to Alia (Bhatt) and asked her what makes her think Manikarnika is my personal controversy, it's a film whole nation is talking about and wondering why Bollywood is keeping quiet on such a relevant work.I asked her if I can be courteous and gracious to acknowledge her requests for encouraging relevant work that she does, why is she so scared to see my film". Kangana, later addressed the media and answered questions regarding Manikarnika co-director Krish and actor Mishti Chakraborty's complaints about her alleged behaviour.

Lauding Ranaut for her latest film Manikarna's success she said, "With Manikarnika's success you have hit them on their softest spot and it will take them some time to recover". The movie, which is about the life of Rani Laxmibai, had crossed Rs 50 crore on day 5 of its release, and by day 10 it had earned Rs 75 crore, and apart from the praise that Kangana has been getting for her directorial debut, it is also doing good business overseas. She also alleged that she doesn't consider Alia Bhatt successful and that the actress is all about making the big bucks. "I didn't do anything to get a reaction like this".

Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi has been the hub of many controversies. For me, it was not a Karan Johar film or an Alia film, for me, it was a film on Sehmat Khan, the girl who has given her everything to the country.

Kangana had earlier called out Bollywood's hypocrisy in not promoting her films.
