Promised for February, the The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt crossover has arrived as part of the latest title update for Monster Hunter: World. You can see more of Geralt's new adventure in the new trailer below.... PS4 and Xbox One players get the event today, but PC players have to wait for the event.

The first part of this collaboration puts you in Geralt's boots and gives you all-new mysteries to solve and gear to craft with the Special Assignment "Contract: Trouble in the Ancient Forest".

The available costume sets for the hunter are based on the main "Witcher" characters, Geralt and Siri. Players will have access to all of the Witcher's tools including Geralt's silver sword, his combat magic and hopefully his straight-face delivered wise cracks too. Capcom had quite the headstart in Hollywood with the success of the Resident Evil franchise and now it's moving onto Monster Hunter. Not only will this quest provide the costume components, but players who clear the event will also be provided with a new gesture, title, guild card and pose with the Witcher design on them. You will also be able to engage in conversations with other characters and the choices you make will determine the outcome of the story as it unfolds. Moreover, it seems that some monsters from the Witcher's world have come through as well; at least two, to be specific. Completing the Woodland Spirit contract will reward players with resources needed to craft Ciri's armor and weapon set.

This Monster Hunter: World Witcher crossover is a free update to the game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

It's unknown exactly what else the Witcher has brought to the game along with him. As for the content, players can expect a new Contract, and they can even play as Geralt himself complete with his abilities and silver sword!
