2019 marks the 110th anniversary of Ettore Bugatti's first creation, the Type 10, and Bugatti has chose to honor the occasion by creating the Chiron Sport "110 ans Bugatti".

Appropriately called the Bugatti Chiron 110 Ans Bugatti, French for "110 Years of Bugatti", the hypercar is all about honoring its French heritage.

The special edition models use the colour scheme of the French tricolour "Le Bleu-Blanc-Rouge", with its colours of blue, white and red. The colors are shown as a mirror image on the right-hand side of the vehicle, matching French official vehicles. This particular example also comes with the Sky View roof, as well as matte black detailing applied on the exhaust system and rear spoiler mechanism.

The wheels are treated to a matte black finish and the exterior earns "110 ans Bugatti" badges.

Dark blue is used throughout the cabin, while French Racing Blue highlights are found on the seats, window controls, seat belts, and storage areas. You'll also find the flag on the 12 o'clock mark of the steering wheel that combines matte carbon-fibre with a blue leather cover. The entire interior is decorated in blue leather, while the trim is Alcantara. As a finishing touch, there's a "specially crafted medallion" in the centre console storage bin, made from solid silver.

Instead of some clear nods to the old Type 10, Bugatti has turned the Chiron into a celebration of France, where Italian-born Ettore spent much of his life. In the 1920s, these included the Type 35, one of the most successful racing cars ever, as well as the Type 41 Royale, the epitome of absolute automobile luxury. The vehicle is limited to just 20 units.

That's enough to get the machine from zero to 100 km/h in under 2.4 seconds; up to 200 km/h in 6.1 seconds; and 300 in 13.1 seconds.

Form follows Performance. This applies especially to the new edition. Behind the C line, set off by a contrasting colour, the extraordinary engine receives sufficient air for combustion and cooling.
