The eighth and final season of "Game of Thrones" begins April 14.

So, HBO will reveal the Game of Thrones season 8 premiere date tonight (January 13) before the True Detective season 3 premiere takes place.

The signal of the White Walkers causes Jon and Arya to draw their blades, anticipating the coming fight. With the haunting music from the always-great Ramin Djawadi, and the slightly ominous tone, the teaser goes heavy on symbolism, bringing with its lots of clues for the final six episodes.

Game Of Thrones fans, this is it - the countdown to the beginning of the end. Martin is working on the next book in the series, and is an executive producer on HBO's upcoming Game of Thrones prequel series.
