Meghan Markle's Bodyguard Is Resigning After Just Six Months of Service

On Saturday, it was reported that the female chief protection officer resigned from Scotland Yard after just six months on the job per The Daily Mail.

Meghan Markle's desire to be close to her subjects may be driving her security detail away, according to a new report.

Her personal assistant, Melissa Touabti, left Kensington Palace a year ago after just six months.

The female police officer has never been named for security reasons, but she was the bodyguard who was photographed leaping into action during a security scare in Fiji during the couple's royal tour past year.

Her name is unknown, being kept secret for protection, yet she's identifiable by photos captured in Fiji when urgency meant she had to take action.

Meghan and Harry have lost three royal aides in the last three months. There was reportedly no conflict between the security officer and Markle, but it is said to be hard to accommodate the Duchess' requests to be seen as "one of the people".

"Even though she was a famous actress, she could still do what she wanted in the way of getting around freely".

"But in her current role she can't go anywhere without her protection team, and that's a massive constraining force on an individual like her", the source added.

In November, Samantha Cohen, the Sussex's private security was the first to leave her job after 17 years working for the family.

During Meghan's recent engagement at women's charity Smart Works, which she has become a patron of, eagle-eyed fans spotted her belly button had become more prominent- something which often happens in the later stages of pregnancy. She previously worked at Buckingham Palace as the Queen's assistant private secretary and moved over to Kensington Palace...
