According to reports, DeMarcus Cousins will make his Golden State Warriors debut soon.

"I'm seeing dramatic improvement from him over the last couple of weeks, with his wind, his ability to run the floor", Kerr said after practice Monday afternoon, as quoted on the San Francisco Chronicle. "I've had a lot of dark days, a lot of good days", he told reporters.

If that date holds up, Cousins will play for the first time this season against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Kerr said earlier this week he has been impressed by Cousins' recent workouts.

The Golden State Warriors may not have had the start to the season that they envisioned, but their has always been one shoe that has yet to drop. "Golden State plays the Clippers on January 18 and the Lakers on January 21", Stein wrote on his official Twitter page.

During the summer, Cousins and the Warriors agreed to a one-year, $5.3 million deal while he was rehabbing his Achilles.

Cousins also added that Kerr "was looking for a certain thing on the coach's side of things", but didn't reveal what that was. They don't have the luxury of getting Cousins the minutes he needs to get back into the shape of things - especially if the Warriors still haven't secured the top spot in the West. There, a healthy Cousins can alleviate pressure on Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant offensively, and give the Warriors a true big, allowing Draymond to roam from the post to perimeter defensively.

The Warriors will host the Knicks on Tuesday.

The Warriors are now 26-14 on the season and sit second in the NBA's Western Conference.
