Now joint top of the club goalscoring charts with eight, Arnautovic is under contract until 2022.

Despite West Ham's resilience, a move to China is a possibility for Arnautovic while it could open the door for Chelsea, who are chasing a striker to replace Alvaro Morata, a possibility closer to home.

The report details that Wilson is in their sights as a potential replacement and they'd have to pay over £35million for the England internatonal, as he's been earmarked for around the £50million mark.

The player's agent and brother, Danijel Arnautovic, told Talksport on Thursday it is his client's "great desire that West Ham accept the offer from China".

West Ham, 10th in the Premier League, host fifth-placed Arsenal on Saturday (12:30 GMT) and Pellegrini expects Arnautovic to play.

Wilson may be the answer to the forward search and he's proving this season he can tear it up in the Premier League.

While West Ham would certainly have the funds available to sign a replacement during this window, recruiting prolific strikers can be very hard mid-season. He wants to go to a new market and challenge for titles.

Arnautovic's brother, Danijel, has issued a statement claiming that West Ham bought him for "peanuts" and should let him leave.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini had earlier said he was determined to keep Arnautovic, who has scored eight goals this season, including three in his last two matches.

Since arriving from Stoke City in summer 2017, Arnautovic has established himself as a key player at West Ham.

"He knows the West Ham fans love him and he has a special connection with them, but things move on, this is the world of sport, and he hopes they can understand". He hopes the fans can respect his wishes.

"Those are all rumours", said Pellegrini.

Will be hard to replace but i trust Pellegrini to do it. [tomster36]This whole thing about Arnautovic is annoying!

"I'm not surprised Maurizio Sarri has demanded a striker this week because they need one badly and they could probably get Wilson from Bournemouth for £30m". Marko in this moment is a player of our team. Although after Payet you never know what's round the corner.
