LG should give us our first up-close look at its new TVs during the press conference.

Since the start of the modern era, television screen sizes have steadily increased as resolution improved, and consumers demanded a more immersive viewing experience. Whenever the TV is not in use, the screen can automatically roll down.

LG Electronics plans to release it this year with talks under way with overseas customers, LG Display chief executive Han Sang-beom said, adding the rollable TV's lifespan is the same as other OLED TVs as it can be rolled more than 100,000 times. Even though there's no word on pricing, considering TCL is a budget TV brand, we could just see the first budgeted version of an 8K TV.

In order to handle the 8K content, LG's new TVs are powered by its second generation Alpha 9 intelligent processor and deep learning algorithm.

All of LG's new OLED televisions, including the roll-up model, will be infused with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa virtual assistant software as well at Apple AirPlay software.

In line view, it can be partially unrolled, allowing users to choose from features such as clock, frame, mood, music and home dashboard.

In "Zero View", the entire TV retracts into the base, looking like a media cabinet piece of futniture - although it can still play music via a 4.2-channel, 100W front-firing Dolby Atmos audio system. Built on a concept unveiled last year, the 65-inch Signature OLED TV R will be available this year for sale, the company announced on Monday at the CES 2019 here.

Samsung also announced it will offer iTunes movies and TV shows and Apple AirPlay 2 support on 2019 TV models.

We don't know much else about it at present, but will be catching up with the OLED TV R ourselves when we get to the show floor at CES itself.
