For the unversed, earlier this week, the couple announced that they are going their separate ways after 25 years of being together.

With all that said, the couple has stated that the divorce is amicable.

Indeed, most on Wall Street appear to be betting that the couple - which said in a statement this week they will "continue our shared lives as friends" - won't let their problems become Amazon's.

Still, according to the magazine's source, Whitesell and Sanchez had allegedly been having issues in their marriage, but they'd been "trying to work things out".

President Donald Trump resisted the temptation on Thursday to take a shot at a frequent target of his barbs, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos. He owns about 80 million shares, or just under 16%, of Amazon. "I will show you with my body, and my lips and my eyes, very soon", the billionaire reportedly wrote to the former So You Think You Can Dance host. The wife of Patrick Whitesell, executive chairman of WME-IMG holding company Endeavor, Sanchez is a former anchor of Good Day L.A. on KTLA Channel 5. She has a teenage son from her first marriage to former National Football League player Tony Gonzalez.

Bezos was snapped with a woman that is not his wife while at the Golden Globes on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, as reported by Radar Online.

Post Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos and MacKenzie's divorce announcement, several reports claiming that Bezos is secretly dating Lauren Sanchez were doing rounds on the internet.

Bezos and his wife, MacKenzie, announced they were scuttling their 25-year marriage on Wednesday.

Yet, in lieu of this revelation that Bezos is, uh, seemingly less skilled at the art of seduction than he is at building multi-billion dollar empires, it still stands that he is literally the richest man in the world-and that fact has not been lost on people.

TMZ reported that the Bezoses did not have a prenuptial agreement and plan to file for divorce in Washington.

The divorce is further complicated by the fact the couple reside in Washington in the U.S. which is a "community property state" which means all assets and debts accrued during the marriage are considered equally owned by both spouses, unless a prenuptial agreement states otherwise.

The couple could have devised a postnuptial agreement to do so on their own, and likely have a deal meant to not rock Amazon.
