The sixth-placed Rams visit the Championship leaders on Friday.

Derby are now in sixth position, while Leeds are league leaders just eight points ahead.

Although the practice of spying on opponents' training sessions may be more common in other countries, Lampard believes that isn't a suitable excuse for Leeds' actions.

'If somebody wants to say that's not relevant and that won't affect the game, then I think that if tactics aren't relevant and how you prepare than that means Pep Guardiola, Mauricio Pochettino, Jurgen Klopp, all the great managers, then they are just lucky.

The governing body said it would look into allegations made by Derby that a man spoken to by officers with Derbyshire police on Thursday morning is on the payroll at Leeds.

Despite some reports, no damage to the fence was found, and the man was stopped outside the grounds.

Police were called to Derby's training ground after the Championship club raised concerns about the presence of man outside the complex's perimeter fence.

In another tweet, it added, tongue in cheek: "Keeping the team safe to bring home a win against LUFC on 11th!"

"Derby County Football Club can confirm that officers from the Derbyshire Constabulary were called to the Derby County Training Centre at around 11:20am on Thursday 10th January 2019 following reports of a man acting suspiciously outside the premises", Derby said in a statement.

I didn't ask for the permission of the club of Leeds United to do that.

"At this time no further comment will be made".

The man has since been confirmed as a member of Leeds United's "footballing staff".

In a statement released to Omnisport, an FA spokesperson said: "We are aware of the incident at Derby County's training ground and we will be investigating the matter".

Derby manager Frank Lampard has revealed that his team's training sessions have been spied upon by Leeds on two occasions this season.

Leeds have lost their last three games in all competitions.
