As for its availability in Malaysia, the Nokia 8.1 will be heading to retailers in Malaysia on 18 January with a price tag of RM 1699. This has been popularized by Samsung's Infinity-O display, which is basically just a circular hole in the upper corner of the display so the front-facing camera (and other sensors) can be positioned.

The renders also show us it will have a 3.5mm headphone port, a USB Type-C connector and will be part of the Android One program as well.

Be sure to check out the 360-degree video below and let us know down in the comments on what you think about the latest leak. You can bet mostly all Nokia phones this year to ship with Android Pie out-of-the-box and the Nokia 8.1 Plus will be no different. In contrast, a hole-punch design pushes the display out to every edge of the phone body. Moving on to the back, expect a dual camera with Zeiss optics here. The hole punch seems like an improvement, but it's hard to tell since devices haven't launched yet. This should then be accompanied by tiny bezels above and on either side of the 6.22-inch display and a slim chin below which is home to the Nokia branding.

If these renders of the alleged Nokia 8.1 Plus end up being accurate, HMD Global (along with many other smartphone OEMs) are going to be using this same technique for their phone. Although nothing is known about the innards of the phone right now, given the fact that it is tipped to have a physical fingerprint reader and a dual camera setup, it will most likely have mid-tier specifications that we see on the more affordable smartphones with highly improved specifications.
