Foxx's call to gather information surrounding the embattled R&B singer stems from the six-part Lifetime series, Surviving R. Kelly, which took an in-depth look at the decades long accusations surrounding the singer, where several Black women told stories of the abuse and manipulation they experienced over the course of the past 25 years.

The docu-series, which aired on Lifetime last week, features 50 interviews, including accuser Jerhonda Pace; the parents of one of Kelly's alleged victims; Kelly's ex-wife, Andrea Kelly; ex-girlfriend Kitti Jones and brothers Carey and Bruce Kelly.

Sources connected to the alleged victims of R. Kelly tell The Blast there is a rumor circulating that the singer is preparing to leave the United States, and we are told Africa has been mentioned as one of the places he may seek solace.

- In the midst of calls for investigations into allegations against singer R. Kelly, the Chicago-based attorney for the musician broke his silence Wednesday evening defending his client.

Investigators' quieries come as the Lifetime series adds a new dimension to the sexual abuse allegations Kelly has faced for the better part of his almost 30-year career. Kelly and the alleged victim, in her 20s at the time of the trial, denied it was them in the video.

The report says the case is being forwarded to the criminal investigations division for review. "I was sickened as a survivor, I was sickened as a mother, I'm sickened as a prosecutor", she told a field of reporters.

Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx announced Tuesday afternoon during a press conference they are asking anyone who may be a victim or has information about a possible victim connected to the allegations against the singer in IL to come forward.

The incident, which allegedly took place in May 2018, was reported by Timothy Savage to Henry County police.

R. Kelly is stepping out following allegations of sexual abuse by multiple women.

"I was sickened by the allegations".

While no charges have now been brought in Kelly's other residence of Chicago, Cook County state attorney Kim Foxx held a press conference on Tuesday to encourage any victims to "please come forward".

"It is our job here at the Cook County State's Attorney's office to investigate claims in the interest of justice and public safety". In 2002, he was arrested after a video surfaced appearing to show him having sex with and urinating on a 14-year-old girl.
