If you haven't heard, Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos announced that he and his wife, novelist MacKenzie Bezos, are divorcing. "I we had know we would separate after 25 years, we would do it all again". There's already speculation that matters may be influenced by MacKenzie's foundational role within the company, and that she may be entitled to as much as AUD $92 billion.

In a post to his Twitter page, the company's CEO said that he and MacKenzie Bezos had chose to separate.

Amazon shares were up 0.2pc in midday trading yesterday.

Jeff and MacKenzie Bezos have been married since 1993 and issued an amicable joint statement announcing their decision Wednesday.

MacKenzie Bezos met her husband when interviewing for a job at a NY hedge fund, according to a 2013 profile in Vogue.

For Mackenzie, it was laugh at first sight.

Trump met Wednesday with Democratic leaders Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer to try to negotiate an end to the 19-day-long government shutdown, and "the meeting did not last long", Stephen Colbert said, because when Pelosi told Trump she wouldn't agree to fund his border wall, he cut it short. "How could you not fall in love with that laugh?"

The two were engaged after three months of dating and married three months after that, according to the magazine. She has been shooting aerial shots for Bezos.

He then had a insane idea, which he ran past his wife, which was to quit his job and delve into the start-ups world. The organisation has worked with celebrities like Lily Collins, NFL star Tom Brady and Monica Lewinsky.

MacKenzie, an author, played a significant role at the company in the early years and "was there when he wrote the business plan", she wrote in a disparaging 2013 review of a Bezos biography written by Bloomberg Senior Executive Editor Brad Stone. In 2006 she won the American Book Award.

Jeff and MacKenzie Bezos have four children, including three sons and a daughter adopted from China.

The billionaire exec was adopted himself at a young age by his stepfather, Cuban immigrant Miguel "Mike" Bezos, an engineer at Exxon. Robert DeNiro and his wife, Grace Hightower, shared in November that they were divorcing after more than 20 years of marriage, as did Real Housewives of Miami's Larsa Pippen and her husband, Scottie, formerly of the Chicago Bulls, who had been married for 21 years.
