The film won two Globes - including best actor (drama) for Rami Malek, who played Freddie Mercury in the film - shocking critics who had given the film poor reviews. And to celebrate The Queen's Band of the Grenadier Guards performed the iconic title track outside Buckingham Palace. The Freddie Mercury movie took home Golden Globes for both its nominations in the Best Drama Picture and Best Drama Actor categories. On Monday tourists walking by watched on and recorded the special moment, with one video getting over 67,000 views on Twitter.

Buckingham Palace guards have been filmed performing Bohemian Rhapsody, just hours after the film of the same name scooped two top awards.

Of course, such a surprise means Oscars predictions may look a little more different now. The Academy is taking nominations for its awards until January 14.

Bohemian Rhapsody beat Black Panther, BlacKkKlansman, If Beale Street Could Talk and A Star Is Born to take out the top Golden Globes prize.

The HFPA is made up of just 90 journalists and winners are decided by the First Past the Post method compared to the Academy of Motion Pictures and Science which has over 7,000 members so there's a wider range of voices picking the Oscars than the Golden Globes. "To you Brian May, to you Roger Taylor for ensuring that authenticity and inclusivity exists in the music and in the world and all of us". "This is for and because of you gorgeous", Malek concluded.

Get ready to bely out some Queen classics as a singalong version of the hit movie Bohemian Rhapsody comes to three Devon venues.

Indeed, Bohemian Rhapsody feels more like an obituary than a biography at some points, often dealing in half-truths rather than providing context to a man who was notoriously private.
