Given that the Game of Thrones portion of this new HBO content reel is only a few seconds long, there isn't a whole lot to go off - but we do feel that it doesn't reveal the whole story.

The final season of Game of Thrones will also be the show's shortest, spanning just six episodes.

HBO has released a teaser trailer for its 2019 shows, which, of course, is being scoured for clues by Game of Thrones fans ahead of the show's final series.

Also in the scene are Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) and Ser Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen). She is greeted by Sansa Stark at the gates who tells her, "Winterfell is yours, your grace", albeit a bit grudgingly.

"Euphoria", "Catherine the Great" and "Chernobyl" are some of the new series from HBO that are set to debut this year and the teaser offers first footage from the shows.

Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen were last seen in Season 7 aboard a boat heading for Winterfell, as they prepare to defend the North against the White Walkers.

At the end of last season, Daenerys' (Emilia Clarke) dragons and her enormous army were finally on the way to Westeros, where Cersei (Lena Headey) has now become Queen after the death of her children.

Daenerys looks satisfied with Sansa's promise, but knowing Sansa, there's more going on underneath the surface. The video didn't show any actual footage from the upcoming season, but made use of a game board and game pieces that implied potential clashes of houses. Fans had already speculated that she might be looking at Danerys entering her home, and many are taking the new footage as confirmation of this theory.
