Samsung's newest monitors may have you doing a double take, as the company introduces models with awesome ultra-wide screens, eye-popping resolution, and a sleek design that's unlike any desktop monitor we've seen.

For aesthetics, Samsung noted that the Space Monitor has a "3-sided bezeless screen", and includes a single power/HDMI Y-cable which can be recessed in the monitor arm to prevent tangling and clutter. A couple of other monitors targeting gamers and content creators are also on their way.

For more on the complete range of Samsung's new monitors, please head to their dedicated CES website.

Its new Space Monitor - the SR75 - reduces the "dead space" taken up by conventional monitors by around 93 percent. This one's made specifically for creative professionals with 32-inches, a 4K curved display with a 2,500:1 contrast ratio and "support for up to one billion colors", Samsung said in its announcement. The CRG9 may not be the best for content creation but should provide a superior gaming experience with its QHD resolution and 1,000 nits of brightness on top of its Quantum dot technology for some of the best color reproduction in the industry. For now, here's what we know. Samsung's initial press release doesn't get into the hard specs of this thing, but it does mention that "power and HDMI cords" are run through the monitor arm for a cleaner look, suggesting that it doesn't have DisplayPorts.

"The Samsung Space Monitor is easy to set up and adjust when you aren't using it, and simple to push back and store flat against the wall", it added.

According to Samsung, the Space Monitor will come in 27- and 32-inch models, with Quad HD and 4K resolutions, respectively. The monitor can be tilted and extended from the wall, although it doesn't seem like it can swivel from the images Samsung has shown so far. It has a minimal and flexible design that will help users focus on what's on the screen instead of what's around it.

The amount of space that a monitor stand uses up probably isn't something that crosses minds very often, but I've become a convert after buying a clamping monitor arm a couple years ago for my monitor at home. "The 1500R curvature delivers a truly immersive experience that shines while creating content and art, watching videos or gaming while reducing the eye strain typically associated with long periods of traditional monitor use", the company notes. "The Space Monitor series comes in a 27" size with a QHD resolution or a 32" size with 4K resolution.
