Chances are, though, that we'll see plenty of such phones in 2019, until something else comes along (under-the-display selfie cameras, hopefully), and it's nice to see that not everyone is planning to join the display hole bandwagon.

To summarize, HMD Global bought Nokia a few years ago and released a whole line of Android smartphones. Recently, the company has announced Android 9.0 Pie update for the Nokia X7 smartphone in China after the Nokia 7.1, Nokia 8 (2017) and Nokia 6 smartphones. Alternatively, you can check for the presence of the update by tapping Settings menu.

As this is an Android version update, the software update that brings Android Pie to Nokia 5.1 Plus weighs more than 1.2 GB in size. This SIG certification is considered to be a prerequisite step for the launch of any new smartphone. For those unaware, the new feature will bring a Dashboard, which highlights screen time and phone usage including how many times the device has been unlocked and a number of notifications received so that they get an overview on how much obsessed with the phone. The Nokia 9 PureView is kind of a successor of the Nokia Lumia 808 PureView, which debuted back in 2012 with a whopping 41MP rear camera. But, it will be coming late to the Nokia 5.1 Plus, as it needs to be optimised for the mid-range phone.

The Nokia 5.1 Plus has a dual primary camera setup with a 13 MP RGB sensor and a 5 MP depth sensor with 1080p video recording capability.

Great news for Nokia 5.1 Plus owners!

The Nokia 5.1 Plus is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 processor, paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 400GB via microSD card. The Nokia 8.1 is an Android One smartphone that runs stock Android 9.0 Pie operating system. The phone is going to be HMD Global's flagship device for 2019 and might debut at the Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona.
