Some Pixel 2 and 3 users have found that their phones will close apps running in the background prematurely, but this new update reportedly fixes that.
A number of owners of the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL had reported the problems with the RAM, this new software update should sort out these issues. The update should be available on your Pixel today.
From December 8 until January 14, you'll be able to get £100 off the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, bringing the cost down to £639 and £739 for each respectively. Pixel 3 users can also look forward to retooled autofocus behaviour and improved shutter performance after they install the update.
This fix "keeps background apps from being prematurely closed", "improves memory performance in certain circumstances", and "improves camera capture performance".
The OTA is busy rolling out (download here) and the factory images for Pixel and Nexus devices are available to download here if you don't feel like waiting for the update notification to appear. However, the insider did not state in the leak if the rumored handset will have a similarly sized display as the Pixel 3 XL nor did it provide additional information about the specifications of the upcoming device.
There are a handful of changes being patched into various media apps and features across the entire Pixel phone line. At any rate, head to the Google Store and you can choose your Pixel and apply the discount code. How much of a discount are you getting?
