Felder, 23, the 54th pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, was arrested in Mississauga, Ontario, and charged with assault and uttering threats against the unnamed woman during a domestic dispute, the report said.

The Raptors have chose to part ways with third-year guard Kay Felder, who was recently charged with domestic violence.

Felder allegedly choked a longtime female acquaintance following an argument during dinner, according to TMZ Sports.

Now Felder, who was drafted in the second round of the 2016 NBA Draft, is making the news for all the wrong reasons. The woman reportedly was able to contact a family member, who then called police, and she received medical treatment from paramedics for marks on her neck, per TMZ.

He also played a combined 16 games for the Chicago Bulls and Detroit Pistons last season, before signing with the Toronto Raptors in August.

"On Monday, Dec. 3, 2018, Raptors 905 guard Kay Felder was charged by police in connection with an allegation of domestic violence".

We've reached out to Felder for comment - so far, no word back.

Felder averaged 18.1 points, 6.4 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game for the 905 this season, shooting 38.9 percent from the field and 30.0 percent from three-point range.

Felder is the most recent athlete to get in trouble for domestic violence. He's been released from custody and is due back in court later this month.
