After tying down key players in the form of N'golo Kante and Cesar Azpilicueta, Chelsea is now hoping to keep hold of Belgian star winger Eden Hazard.

Spanish site Onda Cero have also written that Hazard has already agreed terms with Madrid ahead of a potential summer move, with Chelsea valuing their biggest asset at €170 million despite the fact Hazard is entering the final years of his deal at the club.

"He wants to play Champions League football - he hasn't this year - but if they can get that spot for next year and add a couple of top quality players then it can [help] change his mind".

With just over 18 months to run on his current contract, Chelsea are prepared to offer the Belgian an new deal worth close to £300,000-a-week to keep the player at Stamford Bridge.

Madrid are willing to send Mateo Kovacic permanently to us, and if we don't want the midfielder, Real could send Marco Asensio to London.

Eden Hazard's representatives are speaking with Chelsea on a weekly basis over a possible new contract, according to head coach Maurizio Sarri. The club is available to sign a new contract immediately, but it's up to him if he wants to renew or not.

Spanish global Cesar Azpilicueta, one of the longest-serving players at Chelsea, signed a new four-year contract on Tuesday. Former Arsenal defender told Metro: "When Eden Hazard is on it, I do not believe there is a defender in world football who could live with him".

Their contracts are up at the end of the campaign and they are locked in a standoff over the length of the new deals being offered. "If he is going to go, let's see if he can leave a dent in this Manchester City team first.' Chelsea lost to Wolves 2-1 at Molineux Stadium last Wednesday which saw the Blues sit in four places with 31 points 10 behind Premier League leader Manchester City".
