Ubisoft is expected to reveal more details at The Game Awards tomorrow, so keep your eyes peeled for that. According to the teaser, the new Far Cry title will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, but there's no release date just yet. That said, it may not be your typical dusty post-apocalyptic setting, as it's hinted the new Far Cry will take place some time after the bombs drop, in a world where nature is once again flourishing. Some players were turned right the fuck off by that nihilistic ending ("What the hell was the point of all this, then?"); others embraced the inherent bleakness of the whole thing ("Haha, there was really no point to any of this, then!"). Given the way the way "Far Cry 5" can potentially end, a game set in the apocalypse certainly makes sense. As you may remember, Far Cry 5 ended in Hope County essentially blowing out, so it looks like that could be continued. The connection suggests this game will follow the events of Far Cry 5. Ubisoft call it "a new Far Cry game" but it's not yet clear whether it will be a direct sequel, a spin-off, or what. We'll report more on this new project when it is formally revealed at The Game Awards tomorrow night.

It's worth noting that none of the branding or wording in this trailer specifically mentions Far Cry 5. Were you feeling it, or not so much?
