While it's nearly to be expected that applications like Hulu, Netflix, Spotify, YouTube, et cetera, would be commonplace on just about every modern device on the market. That could change as early as this week.

A YouTube app could launch for Nintendo Switch as soon as this coming Thursday, November 8.

Bearing in mind the Switch can be docked to a TV, this would be another way of getting YouTube - and maybe YouTube Music - up on the big screen as well.

Apparently, YouTube is coming to Nintendo Switch on November 8.

ResetEra also shared a tweet of a French website named NintendHOME that tweeted an image of the poster of the YouTube app listed under the recommended section of the Nintendo's website.

Nintendo's marketing strategy for the Switch has involved positioning the device as a games console and little else. Since then, Nintendo has not introduced any other video apps, including fan favorites like Twitch, Crunchyroll, or Netflix. In fact, at the present time, we got words that some Nintendo Switch users have seen the Youtube icon appearing in the "suggested" section of the Nintendo online portal. This is the strong rumor doing the rounds and though neither Nintendo nor YouTube owner Google has officially made any confirmation on the news, it does appear a certainty. Maybe, the users will get some limited access instead of complete freedom to run these live streaming apps.

He said: "In the case of the Switch, they were very focused at launch not on video-use cases, but on gaming cases, video was not a priority for them".
