This time around, the game will not be episodic like the previous entry.

As a reminder, the Gold Edition contains the core game, the Sniper Assassin mode, the Executive DLC pack, two future expansions and early access. - Edmond Tran [Full review] IGN - 7.7/10 " Hitman 2 doesn't add much of note to the structure of its predecessor and thus feels more like Hitman 1.5 than a full-blown sequel. Hitman 2 is exactly what I imagined it would be - both a continuation and an expansion of a brilliant idea executed flawlessly.

Hitman was one of my favorite games of 2016, which is why I was thrilled to find out that the entirety of that game has been packed into Hitman 2 as well.

As the Hitman 2 release date closes in, review scores have started to appear online. - Edwin Evans-Thirlwell [Full review] GamesRadar+ - 3.5/5 " There's definitely no innovation here; it's more of the same Hitman gameplay that we've seen for years beforehand, and I fear that Hitman 2 is arriving at a time where it just can't compete with the likes of Red Dead Redemption 2, Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Fallout 76, particularly in the open-world sandbox genre. The latest game comes various new tweaks like the stealthy play, the vital aspect of the game which is nearly invisible to opponents will decide the mission's success.

Whether you're carefully slinking your way through the bustling streets of Mumbai, serving up french fries at a family barbecue in Whittleton Creek, or causing havoc in the garage in the middle of a Formula One-style race in Miami, you will constantly be surprised and delighted by the contained worlds that Hitman 2 has to offer.

Pre-ordering the standard edition of Hitman 2 gets you the game, plus the bonus above. "Here's hoping they put more effort into the plot next time". For more information, visit: https://hitman.com/competition.

Hitman 2 pre-order customers can play the game early, but only by purchasing the Gold Edition. If you can think up a creative way to do things, the game will probably let you do your own thing.
