Dortmund lead the Bundesliga table by four points after 10 games, but face their biggest test of the league season thus far against reigning champions Bayern Munich on Saturday.

Reus missed good chances to score, but Alcacer, who came on with half an hour remaining, scored in the 73rd minute after Axel Witsel split the Bayern defense with a ideal through ball.

A sensational comeback from Marco Reus and the gang!

Lewandowski broke the deadlock midway through the half with a powerful header to Serge Gnabry's precise cross over the covering defender.

Dortmund started the second half in similar fashion to the first and equalised from the penalty spot in the 49th minute, Reus beating Neuer from 12 yards after being fouled by the goalkeeper.

In a hugely entertaining encounter that lived up to its big-game billing, Dortmund came out on top, earning Bundesliga bragging rights and pulling away from their main title contenders going into the worldwide break.

It was end-to-end stuff as Alcacer, then Reus blew golden chances before both made amends with goals. There's a huge amount to improve, " Dortmund coach Lucien Favre said.

Dortmund levelled again in the 66th minute, though, Reus connecting with a wonderful first-time finish to rifle home a right-wing Lukasz Piszczek cross.

Lewandowski had the ball in the net for a fourth time, but again the flag went up for offside to the delight of the home fans in the sell-out 81,365 crowd.

After a pulsating clash, however, it was Dortmund who came out on top.

Nelson, on loan from Arsenal, settled the matter with his sixth goal in seven league games just two minutes after coming on.
