Inspector General of police (IGP) traffic Basant Rath has slammed Indian skipper Virat Kohli for his "leave India" response to a cricket fan who had tweeted that he enjoys watching English and Australian batsmen more than Indian cricketers. Swamy took to Twitter and his post read, "What is wrong if Virat Kohli tells a questioner (who tells him that he enjoys watching foreign cricketers more that Indian cricketers) that he should migrate overseas?" Why are you living in our country and loving other countries?

The Indian cricketer said that he didn't mind the fan not liking him but he didn't like it when people live in one country and like things from other countries. "Get your priorities right", Kohli said.

The video went viral and has prompted a torrent of criticism against Kohli on social media.

Some Twitter users have also picked out his self-introductory video during the 2008 U-19 World Cup, where he was seen mentioning former South African batsman Herschelle Gibbs as his favourite cricketer.

In a meeting with Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (COA), Virat Kohli is learnt to have requested that pacers (Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and others) should not take part in 12th edition of IPL so that they can be fully fit for next year's World Cup.

India skipper Virat Kohli reacts after being dismissed. "Kapil Dev on song was a delight to watch as were (Richard) Hadlee, (Ian) Botham and Imran (Khan)", he added.

Kohli is quite active on Instagram where he can be seen posting video promoting worldwide brands. The BCCI's revenue will fall, and consequently the players' fees. "He is a great player and it's time to try and be a great human being".

Kohli scored 453 runs in the recently concluded one day worldwide series against West Indies.
