President Donald Trump's press conference on the midterm elections ended up becoming an all-out fight between himself and multiple members of the White House press corps.

He told yet another reporter he's "not a fan of yours, either".

Acosta kept asking and the president, who held the presser to tout Republican wins in Tuesday's election, had enough and told him to sit down.

Mr. Acosta kept questioning the president about his midterm campaign ad that showed migrants scaling fences and barriers to illegal cross an worldwide border on their way to America.

Trump was also pressed on why his campaign aired an ad featuring a Mexican immigrant convicted of killing American police officers and linking the man's actions to the caravan.

NBC's Peter Alexander, the next reporter chosen to ask a question, defended his beleaguered colleague. But Trump doubled down on his message: "When you report fake news, which CNN does a lot, you are the enemy of the people". I think you should let me run the country.

Later in the presser, Trump ordered CNN contributor April Ryan to sit down and be quiet when she tried to interject with a question.

"Thank you for telling me that I appreciate it", Mr Trump says. 'That's enough. That's enough'.

"I will tell you what, CNN should be ashamed of itself having you working for them-you are a rude, awful person, you shouldn't be working for CNN", Trump said. "The way you treat Sarah Huckabee [Sanders] is terrible. You shouldn't treat people that way".

He then went on to lecture Acosta.
