The House Of Windsor have previously arranged for the Duchess Of Cambridge's family to join them at church on Christmas morning but they did not stay at Sandringham.

Ms Ragland, 62, impressed senior royals including the Queen with her shy and gentle nature displayed at her daughter's royal wedding and during Meghan's first solo project when she launched the cookbook "Together".

Queen Elizabeth has asked members of the Middleton family to attend Christmas mass, but never to dine in Sandringham.

The invitation is fuelling speculation that Doria - who is now based in Los Angeles - may remain in London for the duration of Meghan's first pregnancy.

A royal source says the unique move was "a very thoughtful gesture", but is without precedent, even towards Prince William's in-laws. So although it may not have been so revealing when Meghan got dressed, under the bright light of the sun and with the press' camera flashes, it gave away more than she intended.

When the 92-year-old Monarch heard about it she told Doria she could come to Sandringham.

In addition to being her first as a royal, the holiday will also be Markle's first as an expectant mother, as the Duchess of Sussex is now pregnant with her first child with Harry.

It looks like the Royal Family will be adding a seat to their Christmas table this holiday season.

On Christmas Day, the family attends Christmas services at St. Mary Magdalene church, which are followed by a Christmas Day meal featuring a Norfolk turkey as the main attraction.
