Blizzcon kicked off, unexpectantly, with some Destiny 2 news. This isn't a demo or a free-to-play weekend - if you claim the game by November 18th, you'll own Destiny 2 for life.
Additionally, all Destiny 2 players will have access to the Destiny: Forsaken PvP/PvE hybrid mode, Gambit from November 9-11 during a Gambit Free Weekend.
In order to redeem your free copy, just head to this page, log in to your Blizzard account (or create one), and click on the big blue CLAIM button on the Destiny 2 gift you should have received.
During the Destiny 2 gameplay reveal event previous year Activision confirmed this.
Destiny 2 is an online-only multiplayer first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie and Activision.
Current Destiny 2 players on PC will get an exclusive Anniversary Emblem in December.
Keep in mind that you'll need all Destiny 2 expansion to make the most of this freebie and it isn't cheap. Having the base game be free for a limited time is certainly a good way to drum up interest, especially since the PC community is far smaller than on consoles.
