An effective, important way to protect yourself is by getting a flu shot - which should not actually give you the flu.
"We're not in flu season yet but if you are a vulnerable older person living on your own and you're anxious about getting the flu with no one to look after you, not getting the jab would play on your mind and we don't want patients to be anxious", she said. The NHS flu vaccine is available free to all pregnant women in Wales at their GP surgery or community pharmacy.
