As I noted past year, the holiday cup, which asked people to draw, color and doodle on their own cups, reportedly ended the war on Christmas. That's because Starbucks is getting into full festive mode with the return of their holiday drink lineup, along with new cups, and a brand new Northwest-y latte, and it all starts November 2.
The "Flora" holiday cup features mint-green leaves and bright red berries, while the "Espresso Houndstooth" cup boasts a red and white retro Espresso Houndstooth design meant to mimic a flame, a nod to Starbucks Christmas Blend Espresso Roast.
Customers said they 'loved the tradition of Christmas, ' she added. Previous year the only thing Christmassy featured on the cup was a present and a star. The designs have sparked a wide range of emotions through the years. Imagine being someone who gets worked up about Starbucks cups and then think about how luxurious it must feel to be so oblivious to the rest of the world's many problems.
In a statement to the Post, Starbucks spokeswoman Sanja Gould said that, above all, the company aspires to create a "real sense of community and connection between our baristas and customers".
A reusable cup, in red, will also be given away to anyone who orders a holiday drink on November 2, and can be brought back to the store between November 3 and January 7 to receive 50 cents off a beverage.
