Wrapping up a three-day visit to Western states with midday rally in rural Elko, Trump lent support for Dean Heller, considered the most vulnerable GOP senator on the November 6 ballot as Republicans hope to retain their Senate majority.

The president did not provide any details on the proposal, which would follow a landmark tax overhaul previous year that Republicans had hoped would ensure they'd keep control of Congress after the midterms.

"We're looking at putting in a very major tax cut for middle-income people", Trump told reporters before boarding Air Force One following a rally in Elko, Nevada.

Rep. Jacky Rosen, the Democratic Senate candidate in Nevada, voted in favor of extending the individual tax cuts permanently even though she opposed the initial tax bill.

"It is stunning that Republicans have the gall to call courageous survivors of sexual assault a 'mob, ' and at the same time they incite and condone violent actions like this", Hammill said.

He tells a Republican rally in Elko, Nevada, that he "likes where we stand in the election" on November 6 that will determine control of Congress.

Trump mentioned the proposed tax cut in the same week the US government ended the 2018 fiscal year with a $779 billion deficit, the Treasury Department said on Monday, as previous Republican-led tax cuts squeezed revenues.

Biden and Rosen rallied with members of Culinary Union 226, which represents about 57,000 housekeepers, bartenders and other workers in the casinos and hotels of the city.

He won Nevada in his 2008 and 2012 campaigns, and Democrat Hillary Clinton carried the state by 2 percentage points over Trump in 2016. He's lending support for Dean Heller, who's considered the most vulnerable GOP senator on the ballot this fall.

The rally outside the union hall north of the Las Vegas Strip included appearances from comedian Billy Eichner and a mariachi band and came as two weeks of early voting kicked off in the state.

The former vice president also predicted that "three and six Republicans in the Senate" will "vote the right way" as well.

He said Republicans were going to win big in the 2018 midterm elections.

The president wants to focus on immigration as one of the defining election issues.

"A vote for wacky Jacky is a vote to hand control of Congress over to Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer", Trump said.

Thursday begins a week-long stretch where the President will hold five campaign rallies in five different states - he starts Thursday night in Montana and then goes to Arizona on Friday, Nevada on Saturday, Texas on Monday and Wisconsin on Wednesday - in the span of seven days.

Republicans hold a 51-49 advantage in the Senate now.
