The device, launched along with luxury iPhone XS and XS Max, houses A12 Bionic chip with next-generation "Neural Engine", which unlocks new experiences for immersive augmented reality (AR), games and photography. The new Liquid Retina display is rumored to be the reason for such a long delay of the iPhone XR.

Apple's iPhone XR is now available to pre-order ahead of next week's release on October 26. While that may still be approximately half of what the top-end iPhone XS Max costs, the iPhone XR nevertheless commands a greater price premium than any of the Android flagship smartphones.

The device's 6.1-inch display features a resolution of 1,792 x 828 and supports Tap to Wake functionality. The 128GB variant will be sold for Rs 81,900, whereas the 256GB variant will retail for Rs 91,900.

Starting today, Walmart customers can preorder the iPhone XR at Walmart.com for in-store pickup next week. The phone, however, offers similar internals at a significantly lower price point compared to the iPhone XS series.

The iPhone XR is available in six colours: black, white, blue, yellow, coral and (PRODUCT) RED, while pricing starts at $1029 CAD for 64GB, $1099 for 128GB and $1239 for 256GB models. It is a touted as the most advanced LCD in a smartphone. It has an aperture of f/1.8 and comes loaded with optical image stabilization, a 6-element lens, focus pixel with a quad LED truetone flash, among other features.

There is also a True Depth camera module at the front including an ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, flood illuminator, infrared camera, front camera and Dot projector. Now the spotlight turns to the iPhone XR.

Despite there only being a single 12-megapixel camera on the rear glass case, the XR is fully capable of adding depth effects to your photos.
