To celebrate this occasion, the Prime Minister and The Duke will be joined by four competitors from the 2018 Australian Invictus Games team, Mr Luke Hill, Captain Ruth Hunt, Ms Heidi Joosten and Mr Michael Lyddiard as well as Ms Gwen Cherne whose late husband Peter Cafe served in Cambodia, Timor, Afghanistan and Iraq. It will be the fourth time the annual games have been held.

Prince Harry, who founded the Games in 2014, is with Meghan Markle in Australia on a Royal Tour coinciding with the Games. The Duke of Sussex has been touring Australia with his wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, ahead of the start of the games on Saturday.

It's the first engagement on the 16-day Royal Tour that Prince Harry has done solo but across the couple's 76 official engagements, there will be some the Duchess of Sussex undertakes solo as well.

The royal couple visited the iconic Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, during day three of their royal Down Under tour, where they met with representatives from the OneWave Organization, a local group that works to raise awareness for mental health. One member of the group told CNN affiliate Sky News the royals were "no different" to the rest of the group.

"In the military we talk about leaders who inspire "followership" and we talk about leaders who require 'followership, ' and he's certainly in the former category", she said.

The objective of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's whirlwind Australian tour will come back into focus with the duke officially marking the arrival of the Invictus Games in Sydney. An Essential poll in May 2018 found 48% of Australians supported breaking away and becoming a republic, compared to just 30% who said they wanted to keep the monarchy. Along with his brother Prince William and his wife Catherine, Harry also set up a mental health charity.

The 2018 Invictus Games run from October 20-27.

Daphne will be supporting the games as well, attending her first event on Monday.
