And former striker Fowler says that despite putting themselves in contention with their strong start to the season, the Reds players are performing below the expectations of the fans and Klopp.

Man City and Liverpool are regarded by many as the two title favourites - but the London clubs certainly look like they're in with a shout.

It is a new experience for me because Klopp has a different style of work from the way I'm used to but this is something I will learn.

I'm still only 24 though, so hopefully I have a lot of years ahead of me and I can be involved for all of them.

"Obviously they were a bit cautious ofthe way we play and I think we have earned that respect, but they still pressed and still tried to play their game".

The Gunners had a woeful start to the new campaign losing both their opening games but since then they have gone on a winning spree and are now on a nine-match unbeaten streak.

We won the European Championship that year and there's no better feeling than winning something with your country.

With a two-week break for worldwide matches, we asked Soccer Saturday pundit Matt Le Tissier for his verdict on the start of the 2018/19 campaign.

"In terms of Arsenal's form, they beat Fulham at the weekend and previous to that they were lucky against Watford and Everton, while only beating Newcastle and Cardiff by the odd goal".

"I think I'm relatively close to being in Liverpool's first-team - in fact very close".

But it's football and I've been working to do this ever since I was a young kid and making the move away, it was never an issue for me and I feel like I've already been there for a long time now.

"I would like to have taken it. I like their football but I've got a slight doubt about them". I came through a hard spell.

"As long as Christian Eriksen doesn't spend to long out of the team for Tottenham... because I think they miss him quite a bit".

"We made it hard for them and they made it hard for us at times but that's how it is".

So yes, it's great to be back again with England and I just want to keep improving and keep it going, starting with this week's games.
