The CW has released the first image of what Batwoman will look like when she comes to life on screen in the three-part Arrowverse crossover event "Elseworlds".

Assuming Batwoman's inclusion in the Arrow, Supergirl and The Flash crossover goes off without a hitch, you might want to schedule some time into your TV schedule next year for a Batwoman series, since one is now in the works at The CW. In addition to Rose's Batwoman, the crossover will also feature the return of Tyler Hoechlin's Superman as well as introducing Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane and Cassandra Jean Amell as Nora Fries.

There may not be a Batman that we've seen in the Arrowverse or on Supergirl's Earth-38 that we've seen in-person just yet, despite the name drops, but that is definitely a Batwoman right there with the Bat-signal shining high in the sky behind her.

This first look at Batwoman comes as the crossover begins shooting in Vancouver BC. I guess Barry and Co won't get much rest after their landmark 100th episode airs on December 4. The character of Kate Kane is a lesbian, and some Twitterers didn't know that Rose was too. Is this the costume you imagined Kate Kane in?

It's a pretty spot on take on Kate's iconic look in the comics - especially the flowing hair coming out of the back of her cowl - even if the lower part of the suit has been a little more streamlined. And what are you hoping to see in DC's crossover events?
