Official details will of course be revealed at the Google Pixel 3 launch event later today.

What are you hoping to see unveiled?

The phone was obtained by Engadet's Richard Lai, who made a detail hands-on video showing it off. The Pixel 3 XL is expected to come with a 6.7-inch display, an increase of 0.7-inches, while the smaller Pixel 3 will come with a 5.5-inch display, a difference of 0.5-inches. Seems like a big clue about the colors that we expect for phones. In India, the Google Pixel 3 event will start at 8:10 pm. Engadget doesn't mention if the store had a number of units in stock or if this was the only one.

Other products expected to appear at the event include a Pixel Slate tablet with a detachable keyboard, new Google Home models, a second-generation Pixelbook laptop, and a wireless charging stand for Google's Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.

Previous rumours suggest the phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

There have been so many leaks of Google's hardware over the last month or so that we know most of what's coming. Both new Google smartphones are so far found to have multiple colour options, including Black, White, and a suspicious "Sand" variant that could be close to the Pink colour. Google launched its line of high-end phones two years ago to better compete against Apple, Samsung and other device makers.

Reportedly codenamed "Nocturne", the Google Pixel Slate will rival Microsoft's Surface Pro lineup of convertible laptops. The display may an aspect ratio of 3:2, and have multi-touch and stylus support. There may also be some software news thrown in for good measure.

Google past year launched Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones.

The top-mounted power button may also embed a fingerprint scanner, while the sides may pack antennas for cellular LTE connectivity.
