The "sanskaari actor", as she calls him, was a drunkard and was pursuing the lead actress of a popular 90's TV serial Tara. It (rape) must have happened, but someone else would have done it.

Nath has responded to Nanda's allegations and said, "Neither I am denying this nor do I would agree with it".

In a Facebook post, Nanda alleged that Alok Nath raped her and harassed Tara's female lead. "When I woke up the next afternoon, I was in pain". When asked about the accusations, he proclaimed, In a further statement that reeks of toxic masculinity, Alok Nath managed to call Nanda a friend and insult her by taking credit for her success. I started to walk home on the empty streets although the distance to my own house was long.

After her successful TV show, Tara, was shut down, Nanda said, Nath invited her to a party.

India's '#MeToo' storm continues to intensify, with more women recounting their experiences of facing sexual harassment.

Veteran TV writer, producer and director Vinta Nanda, in a detailed Facebook post, has alleged that Alok Nath raped her a few times 19 years ago after he was sacked from their iconic show Tara for misbehaving with its lead actress. "It was a nervous breakdown I was going through, but I was trying to be fearless", she wrote, "I tried to pick up the threads of my life but channels and networks and sets and rehearsals started to freak me out". She had even added that she got into a fight with Alok's wife, who was working as a costume producer on that show over her allegations. After the actress complained, Vinta removed the accused actor from the show. She had even filed a Rs 1 crore defamation complaint against him for calling her a "drug user".

He concluded by saying, "It is useless to react on the allegations as in today's world whatever a woman says, only that will be considered". We needed one last shot between them and soon after it had been taken we had planned to let him know that we didn't want to work with him any longer.

The actor also went on to say that he is unfazed by what people will say after being accused of a sexual violation. "In such a situation, it would be wrong to say anything", he added. "I will be exploring things, I want to protect myself". "It is high time".
