It may be the end of Telltale as a studio, but the final season of its Walking Dead series doesn't look like it will go unfinished. Skybound Games was only established earlier this year to assist development.

Robert Kirkman, the creator of The Walking Dead comics which spawned a horror empire, announced today at New York Comic Con that the games division of his label Skybound has agreed to terms with Telltale to finish The Walking Dead: The Final Season. The aim is to keep the original development team intact as Skybound works with former Telltale leaders to come to an agreement.

Skybound and Telltale's agreement comes after weeks of shocking news from Telltale. His company Skybound Games will be publishing and helping Telltale develop the rest of the game.

There are still many unanswered questions about Skybound's takeover of Telltale's The Walking Dead. It reads, "We're SO happy to announce that we've reached a deal with @telltalegames that will allow Skybound to continue #TheWalkingDead: The Final Season!". According to an anonymous source, the third episode was almost complete and the fourth had already recorded some of the voice-over.

"Since Telltale's closure notice, we've been spending long hours figuring out if we could help complete this game". As The Walking Dead: The Final Season was pulled from stores last week, we also have no time frame as to when will it be purchasable again, or if will we see a completely new listing come out without Telltale's name attached to it.
