Chris Evans has appeared to confirm that Avengers 4 will officially be Captain America's last big screen outing. With the universe completely flipped on its head and our heroes trying to recover from Thanos's brutal snap in Avengers: Infinity War, we know that some of the biggest names in the MCU are almost at the end of their run.

"It was an emotional day to say the least", Evans wrote on Twitter.

Chris Evans first began his role as the patriotic phenomenon back in 2011 in Marvel's "Captain America: The First Avenger". He also thanked everyone who helped in making these memories. "Eternally grateful", he said. Since then, Cap has become a staple of the MCU with Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Civil War. Evans has wrapped his final performance as Captain America.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson also expressed his gratitude to Chris for playing the role. Congrats on breathing life into such an iconic character. There are chances that Marvel Studios could retain the character and give the responsibly to a new actor or someone from the current cast. During an earlier interview with the New York Times, Evans talked about his role in Avengers: Infinity War.

Our fear for Avengers 4 is not that Earth's remaining mightiest heroes won't undo the ending of Infinity War, our fear is how devastating the cost will be to make that happen.
