On a short week, the Jets are set to face the Cleveland Browns tonight on Thursday Night Football as it's best to sit Kearse once again, just like last week.

Mayfield led four scoring drives and completed 17 of 23 passes for 201 yards in just over a half of play after Taylor suffered a concussion. His first pass was a great one, bringing life back into FirstEnergy Stadium.

Mayfield's first completion of his career went to Jarvis Landry for a 14-yard gain on first-and-10. Four plays later, the Browns got on the scoreboard with a 45-yard field goal by Greg Joseph to make it 14-3 Jets at halftime.

The Cleveland Browns receive the opening kick after the New York Jets won the coin toss and deferred to the second half. He finished 15-of-31 for 169 yards and zero touchdowns.

Crowell scored his second TD with 7:54 left in the second quarter, and was flagged for excessive celebrating when he squatted and wiped the ball on his backside before flinging it into the crowd.

He went on to lift the Browns to a 21-17 victory over the New York Jets.

The winless drought for the Cleveland Browns is finally over.

Benjamin Brown is a reporter for Fox News. He has also been removed from the team's afternoon show for two weeks.

Mayfield was expected to watch and learn this season, but the injury to Taylor and the rookie's impressive comeback could lead to a shakeup in Cleveland's original plan. WR Charone Peake sustained a hamstring injury.
