Along with "Moves Like Jagger", they have also penned "Love Somebody", "Sugar", "Payphone" and "Animals".
The Grammy Award-winning rock band fronted by "The Voice" coach Adam Levine has signed on to play the halftime show at the 2019 Super Bowl in Atlanta, two sources told the magazine. Most recently, Maroon 5 has been hitting it hard with "Girls Like You" featuring Cardi B, "What Lovers Do" with SZA, "Cold" with Future and "Don't Wanna Know" with Kendrick Lamar.
Reps for the National Football League and Maroon 5 did not immediately confirm the high-profile booking.
'The offer has been extended and they've pretty much accepted, ' an unnamed source told the site. They don't have any dates between New Year's Eve and February 19, leaving room for a Super Bowl show.
Levine has long expressed his desire to check off the career milestone, telling Howard Stern back in 2015 that the band was on a "short list" of potential performers. Over the years, the band has continued to produce chart-topping songs, which will have the audience on their feet at the Super Bowl. Recent headliners have included Justin Timberlake (in 2018) and Lady Gaga (in 2017), as well as Coldplay, Beyoncé and Bruno Mars (in 2016).
So, of course, fans were not particularly pleased with the Maroon 5 report. Looking over their career, Maroon 5 could actually be a decent Halftime show if they make sure to invite all their friends.
