Nintendo has revealed new games and a new control method for the NES games on Nintendo Switch Online. These Switch compatible NES controllers will slide onto the Switch just like Joy-Con, playing wirelessly for all those upcoming NES titles for Online Service subscribers.

On 9/18, your Nintendo Switch will be receiving a system update, version 6.0.0.

This will be especially important if you have multiple Switch profiles in your house, such as those for children and other family members. Plus, you can enhance your online experience with features available through the smartphone app and receive special offers. You can check out some images of the controllers in the gallery below. For example, when playing Super Mario Bros online, you can use a hand-shaped cursor to point out hints to your friends now playing. To start, those who get the 12-month subscriptions will also be getting download codes for exclusive Splatoon 2 cosmetics.

By the end of the month you'll no longer be able to play Nintendo games online for free, as Nintendo reschedules its cancelled Direct.

We also no know that the starting library of NES games will also include third-party stuff like Double Dragon, Gradius, and River City Ransom.

Nintendo plans to give more details about Nintendo Switch Online at an event tomorrow.
