Nick Foles, the Philadelphia Eagles' backup quarterback who started against the New England Patriots on Thursday night because Carson Wentz still has not been cleared for full contact, was knocked out of the preseason game early in the second quarter with a shoulder strain.

"I think everyone's made a big deal about it". Foles was the hero of the Super Bowl for the Eagles last season, and the Patriots would surely like to test out their defense against him for a few series on Thursday. It wasn't a big deal to Foles, but a big deal was made of it. This was another way that Eagles fans can brag about their team finding success over the standard bearer in the league and one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history. I've already talked to him before, he's a guy I've always looked up to. Foles logged 373 yards and three touchdowns.

Last week, Jenkins and Bausby both raised their fists during the national anthem at a game against the Pittsburgh Steelers to protest racial injustice and police brutality. "But, we're on to 2018".

As we get closer to the important third week of the preseason, we should see the starters and key players a bit more this week.

The only defense that Pats fans can use is bragging about their five Super Bowl victories, but that means nothing to Eagles faithful.

Brady, 41, went 19 for 26 for 172 yards, highlighted by two touchdowns to help put New England up 27-7 at halftime. Foles, on the other hand, struggled with accuracy, completing only three of his nine pass attempts for 44 yards.
