Jurgen Klopp hints at change of position for Fabinho

Sergio Ramos rarely lacks for something to say Sergio Ramos rarely lacks for something to say

Klopp has tasted defeat in a League Cup final, a UEFA Europa League final and a Champions League final during his time at Liverpool so far.

Simon Mignolet, Lazar Markovic, Sheyi Ojo, Marko Grujic and Dominic Solanke might all attract interest, but although Klopp expects teams from around the continent to try and take advantage of the Premier League's truncated window he will not be forced into any poor deals.

Asked about Joe Gomez's ability to play at centre-half, the German said: 'I was never in doubt about Joe's ability to play there. "I do not know where this is coming from, the key to success has been that we have been a family".

Trent Alexander-Arnold was given a chance to start in Klopp's first XI after Nathaniel Clyne was injured during preseason, and remains Liverpool's first choice right-back this campaign, despite Clyne's return.

First the situation is, 'How is the offer, how is the need for us?'.

As the social media tidal wave against Ramos gained pace, Jurgen Klopp finally broke his silence on the incident in July by comparing the Real Madrid man to a wrestler, saying his challenge was "ruthless and brutal".

"We have enough players and we have to see who fits to which opponent and then we make a lineup".

On Klavan, Klopp added: 'No player would leave this club if I didn't allow it. He's fit which is very good, he's a very good football player and plays the position well. If he leaves then I've said yes'. [Salah] pulled my arm first. "And yes the feeling around the club is good, but that's only because of the performances and the results we got". The thing is, I saw the ref taking charge of big games at the World Cup afterwards (Mazic officiated in the Brazil v Belgium quarter-final) and nobody really thinks about that later. It was very important to get confidence ahead of the season.
