Leeds should have made the points safe in the 56th minute but Scott Carson made a magnificent reaction save to keep out another Roofe header.

"This is my first job as a manager, but I've worked closely with some of the best coaches in the game and I'm confident in my own abilities and those of the team around me, including the board", he told Derby's official website.

Mateusz Klich opened the scoring for Leeds with a brilliant, curling effort before Tom Lawrence responded with a dipping free kick in an entertaining opening. We went into the game under no illusions and knew it would be hard for us.

"They were a bit sharper, a bit brighter than us in all departments".

"More energy in them without the ball and with the ball".

"That was the most pleasing thing for me, not only making my debut and making over 20 appearances, but for a club like Huddersfield to stay in the Premier League".

Leeds were full value for their 2-1 lead at the break but Derby went agonisingly close to equalising two minutes into the second half when a shot from Mount flew across the area with the sliding Waghorn narrowly failing to find a touch for what would been a tap in.

"Leeds have come to our place and looked more confident than comes down to the basics of football, if you don't move the ball quickly enough and you're not courageous enough and your quality is not quite good enough then it's hard to get out and we weren't good enough today". But what happened in the games so far does not mark a definite trend, it's too early to make conclusions.

And continuity is the name of the game for Bielsa, who again picks Bailey Peacock-Farrell in goal and goes with a defence of Luke Aylng, Liam Cooper, Gaetano Berardi and Barry Douglas.
