In it, she paints a damming picture of President Donald Trump, including claiming that tapes exist of him using the N-word as he filmed his "The Apprentice" reality series.

This was despite objections from White House chief usher, Angella Reid, who served under President Obama and was the first black woman to hold the post.

Trump was responding to a question from New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman about Manigault Newman's tell-all memoir that was announced this week. Her book also describes him as scattered, self-absorbed, misogynistic and insecure.

In her book, Manigault Newman also says the former Apprentice host showed signs of a "mental decline that could not be denied" and added that he "loved conflict, chaos and confusion; he loved seeing people argue or fight". The Art Of The Deal is a bestseller!

"I think it's important to understand that if we make this a friendly departure, we can all be, you know you can look at your time here in the White House as a year of service to the nation".

Manigault Newman also alleges that allies of the president tried to buy her silence.

TMZ caught the former White House staffer as she arrived at a Washington, D.C. airport ahead of a publicity blitz.

'During production he was miked, and there is definitely an audio track.

According to the Post, an excerpt from Unhinged also claims that Lara Trump, the President's daughter-in-law, and adviser offered Omarosa a job after she was sacked from The White House. Using the N-word was not just the way he talks but, more disturbing, it was how he thought of me and African-Americans as a whole'. It's sad that a disgruntled former White House employee is trying to profit off these false attacks'.

The White House has rebuked Manigault Newman's book, with Press Secretary Sarah Sanders calling it "riddled with lies and false accusations".
