The future of Manchester United and French global midfielder Paul Pogba at Old Trafford remains a mystery as the transfer window slowly begins to close as conflicting reports continue to surface.
It lead the Portuguese to vent his feelings after the final whistle at Old Trafford and reiterate his warning for the new season.
Antonio Valencia, Marcos Rojo, Diogo Dalot, Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic are all injured, while Jose Mourinho will check on the fitness of those that returned late from the World Cup.
While United and other Premier League teams in England will not be able to bring in players after August 9, they can still sell players to other teams around Europe until August 31.
To be fair to Sanchez, the season is only young, but he does have previous with this sort of thing, as his performance away to Crystal Palace last season (he gave the ball away 19 times) suggests.
For the first time the EPL deadline has been moved forward to the day before the season kicks off when United hosts Leicester City today.
"There was never a need to change what Man United do - the formula is there and there was never a need of a new philosophy", the 43-year-old told Malay Mail at Resorts World Genting last month.
Jose Mourinho selected a youthful squad to take to America after a number of players were missing due to the World Cup.
The midfielder, who named captain for the night as United's Premier League campaign got off to a winning start, netted a penalty after just three minutes.
"I asked Paul and he put himself available for the team and he was very, very good for us", declared Mourinho.
"Yeah I think it has been a long time since we won the league and it would mean more than ever to win that", he explained.
All eyes will be on star midfielder Alexis Sanchez as Mourinho would be hoping the Chilean steps up and assumes a key role in the upcoming season.
Although some were surprised to see Pogba in action again so soon after his post-World Cup break, Mourinho insisted it was not a hard decision to play him because Pogba said he was ready.
And the Frenchman finishes off his speech - which has been seen nearly 65,000 times - with a rousing call while holding his fist up saying: "Come on United".
"I made a choice to try and finish the game", he said. Again, I know the words you want me to say or not to say.
