The second Test starts on Thursday. While it is an honour for Team India, this did not sit well with the Indian fans.
BCCI shared a picture of the Indian cricket team that included Virat Kohli along with wife Anushka Sharma on Twitter.
Joining Kohli for the meet and greet was Anushka Sharma donning a attractive traditional dress in mint colour. The 30-year-old actor had attended the first Test in Birmingham and cheered for the team from the Edgbaston stands.
This user questioned why only Virat Kohli was allowed to bring his wife, while the other players were not allowed to bring in their partners? User Ali MG wrote, "Vice captain is in last row and First Lady of Indian cricket is in front row". Anushka Sharma, who is accompanying her husband Virat Kohli on the tour, is now getting trolled on social media for being part of the visit. In a video uploaded by Virat on social media, Anushka can be seen chastising the man, who later accused the couple of abusing their power. "This is supposed to be a team event not family function", read one of the comments on BCCI's page.
Meanwhile, India could make a change for the Lord's Test by dropping Shikhar Dhawan and picking Cheteshwar Pujara.
So what exactly was Anushka Sharma doing in the official team picture whereas the vice-captain, Ajinkya Rahane and the coach were standing all the way at the back.
