The uncertain future of Yerry Mina remains up in the air but Jose Mourinho has ruled out a move to bring the Barcelona defender to Manchester United.

Instead, Mourinho will now have to try and mount a title challenge with the current squad at his disposal. They trained on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and today, so you can imagine that they're not really fit and ready, but we have needs.

"At the moment words are not important".

Their only signings this summer were Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant.

However, Wright thinks United missed the trick and could be chasing City's shadows again this season.

"I do not trust that new players will arrive and I'm not confident in that so now I will only focus on the players I have", he said. "I like to work with my players".

"A lie repeated 1,000 times is still a lie, but the perception of people is that it's true. Every match now is important, every point is important, so we have to get the best out of every player".

"If you are a united fan like me and can no longer stand this dreary, defensive boring style of play then please donate".

"Eventually Axel said: "Do me a favour and finish it as quickly as possible because I really want to go to Dortmund".

"I'm going to enjoy this season".

There is concern among supporters as the Red Devils prepare to face Leicester tonight in the opening Premier League match of the season.

The team has World Cup victor Paul Pogba leading the midfield, and Belgium star Romelu Lukaku manning the attack with Alexis Sanchez.

"Martial didn't have a preseason", said Mourinho.

"He had nine days of pre-season where no training, no football, absolutely nothing".

And while those players are all now back in training, with Lukaku, Rashford and Jones having returned earlier than scheduled, Mourinho has admitted he will still be without a number of key players against Leicester.

Pogba, meanwhile, could be on the bench against Leicester despite only training for four days since arriving back in Manchester following his triumph with France in Russian Federation. "I won eight championships and three Premier Leagues but I keep feeling the second [place] last season was one of my biggest achievements in the game".

'But it's the same conversation as with [Ashley] Young, [Marouane] Fellaini, [Jesse] Lingard, it's the same.

"If they feel they can help us, 20 minutes, 10 minutes, half an hour".
